Intracare innovates for tomorrow

Exciting World Buiatrics Conference

More than 3000 cattle veterinarians from 78 countries
On Sunday July 3rd, the conference opening ceremony started with a mix of traditional and modern Irish music and dance. This was followed by an official opening by the Irish minister of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Michael Creed, who again underlined the importance to combat antimicrobial resistance.

The next four days, more than 3000 delegates from 78 countries shared their knowledge on cattle veterinary medicine during 5 parallel sessions on topics varying from surgery to sustainable agriculture. The lameness session on Wednesday morning was exceptionally well attended with a lecture room fully packed with around 500 delegates. One of the speakers was Dr. Ruurd Jorritsma of the University of Utrecht, who presented the results of a clinical trial on Digital Dermatitis (Mortellaro) lesions, on which Intra Repiderma performed significantly better than treatment with an antibiotic spray.

Many of the attendants also visited the exhibition area and expressed their interest in the non-antibiotic Intracare Hoof-fit products and Intra Repiderma. In addition, the participants also enjoyed the social program including the Guinness Storehouse Night with nice food, a self-drafted pint of beer, and a great view over the city of Dublin.

We would like to thank the Agrihealth team for their great help and continuous support, and the World Association for Buiatrics and the conference organization for making this 29th edition a huge success! The next World Buiatrics Conferences will be organized in 2018 in Saporro, Japan and in 2020 in Madrid, Spain.
