Intracare innovates for tomorrow

Lameness in Ruminants conference in Munich

Last week, Intracare participated as a Bronze sponsor in the 19th International Symposium and 11th International Conference on Lameness in Ruminants in Munich, Germany.

The conference started with a practical field day at the farm of the Lehr- und Versuchsgut in Oberschleissheim, just north of Munich city, which included demonstrations on hoof trimming and discussions on foot bathing. During the breaks, the participants visited the booths of exhibitors, including that of our German distributor Agriservice Jeuken (http://www.agriservicejeuken.de/).

The following two-and-a-half days at the Catholic Academy in Bavaria were packed with scientific sessions. Dr. Gerwen Lammers and Daisy Roijackers presented the successful treatment of non-healing white line disease using non-antibiotic Intra Repiderma, that was performed by Piet Kloosterman of the Dairy Training Centre. Several other talks and panel discussions further underlined the importance of non-antibiotic treatments for hoof diseases. At our Intracare booth, we had a lot of interesting discussions with delegates from all our over the world.

The following Lameness Conference will take place in Tokyo Asakusa (Japan) from 11-14 March 2019, and during the closing meeting in Munich, Minnesota (U.S.) was elected for organizing the Lameness in Ruminants 2021. We would like to thank the Munich delegation for the excellent organization and all participants for their interactive contribution.
