Efficacy against veterinary viruses at a concentration of 0.75% was lately demonstrated in a study by an independent laboratory specialized in testing against Bovine Entero Virus Type 1, also known as the ECBO virus. The study was performed according to the European test standard EN14675, which includes testing at 10 °C against Bovine Entero Virus, which are considered worst-case temperature and virus to represent the veterinary area. Despite these severe conditions, still the efficacy requirement of a 10log reduction of ≥ 4 was satisfied, meaning the pathogen was eliminated for more than 99.99%.
The study fully complies with the latest European requirements for virus efficacy testing of veterinary biocides (PT3), as laid down in the Biocidal Product Regulations (Regulation (EU) 528/2012) implemented by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA). So based on this study, Intra Multi-Des GA can be classified as effective against (all) viruses relevant for the veterinary areas.
